Reminiscent of the sparkling citrus scents of the citrus gardens of the Mediterranean with a subtle spicy hint of coriander and the sweet notes of ripe fruit and nuances of vanilla.
Add the soft notes of Mediterranean orange and lemon blossom, with a slightly bitter nuance from citrus peel, softened with notes of ripe fruit.
This sweet liqueur has been made by Diego Zamorra SA in Cartagena since 1924. According to the company, this is a recipe from the 18th century. Meanwhile, Licor 43 is exported to more than 60 countries in the world, making Cuarenta Y Tres or Licor Cuarenta Y Tres the most famous liqueur in Spain and the rest of the world.
Licor 43 owes its name to the 43 ingredients that the liqueur is rich in. These ingredients, all of which are natural, include citrus and other fruit juices and aromatic plant extracts. The liqueur can be drunk neat (with or without ice) and in or with coffee/tea (for example in a barraquito). In addition, many long drinks are known, for example with fruit juices such as orange juice, cola or with milk.
In 2012, the factory moved outside the city of Cartegena directly along the highway, at the Cartagena exit towards Alicante. This new factory is incalculable due to its design and colour.
