Using data from World Weather Online, which counts the average number of hours of sunshine per month, they searched for the most sunny city break destinations. The result? The ultimate guide for travelers seeking the long-awaited sun. Alicante is number 1 and also Murcia, Valenica made it to the top 10.
1. Alicante, Spain

It's official: Alicante is the sunniest city in Europe! With an average of 349 hours of sunshine per month, Alicante is the ultimate destination for sun-seeking travelers. The town is known for its beautiful Costa Blanca coastline, which offers wide public beaches where you can sunbathe on the sand or jump in the water and try your hand at water sports. As if the sunny weather wasn't enough, Alicante is a beautiful city. The third place is taken by Murcia, capital of the region of the same name in southeastern Spain. Valencia is the sixth sunniest city in Europe, with an average of 343 hours of sunshine per month. Located on the southeast coast of Spain, this port city is once again perfect if you want a city break combined with a beach holiday. You can visit the famous museum of the City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia, or stroll through the streets and squares lined with tapas bars.
